O VELHO EURICO
A good traditional restaurant as we like it. We serve a generous cuisine just like at home.
This colorful tasca with wooden doors, hidden behind the church of São Cristóvão in the heart of Mouraria, already has a long history in Lisbon. Some of you may have known its founder, the elderly Eurico, who has now handed over the reins to a young, dynamic team, taking over this small, modernized neighborhood canteen. Prices aren't as cheap as they used to be, but it's still affordable, the portions are generous and you'll leave feeling full. We recommend the grilled octopus and cod salad accompanied by a glass of house wine. The more adventurous will finish with a coffee and a drop of "bagaço", the local brandy.
