Housed in the superb late 17th-century Palacio de Alverca, the Alentejo Regional House is a historical and cultural landmark that has celebrated its 102nd anniversary. Upstairs, you'll find huge rooms under ancient ceilings, an old smoking room, small riad-like salons and even a ballroom with a décor straight out of a film. The tavern's cuisine in the interior patio is rustic, and one of the best dishes on the menu is porco alentejano. A unique place that invites you to discover the Arab influences on Portuguese culture.

Lieu exceptionnel, à ne pas manquer, même s'il ne dispose pas de "rabatteur" comme ses voisins. La cuisine est traditionnelle est de bonne qualité, pas imaginative mais de très bonne tenue. Le lieu est incroyable, comme hors du temps, préservé, magnifique aussi. Allez-y et vous verrez le Portugal de l'intérieur. La petite boutique au RDC vaut aussi le détour par son côté plus authentique que ce qu'on trouve dans le secteur
