Showcase of one of the oldest coffee houses in Portugal, this brewery, already fashionable at the end of the 18th century, has undergone a serious facelift in recent years. Behind the terrace, the entrance is still majestic, and the interior has regained some of its Art Deco geometric splendor of the 1930s (period of its second splendor): marble, wrought iron, mirrors and some large paintings. Today the cafe has lost some of its glory in terms of quality of service and food. It remains however a good option for a coffee in terrace.

Beautiful terrace on Rossio square. The view is pleasant. The food is decent but expensive: the 12th tomato salad with a little mozzarella! you will find better elsewhere and cheaper. Welcoming staff not very, but the service is decent.
