This old family tavern, dating back to 1857, is famous for its pretty wooden interior partitions, which, according to legend, were used to hatch dark plots in complete secrecy. Even today, the small dining rooms create an intimate atmosphere conducive to confidences. The cuisine on offer is unpretentious, honest and tasty, including fried prawns, grilled chourizo and cod àbrás - all classics of Portuguese gastronomy. You can also stop in for a simple sandwich and a bite to eat.
