It's said to be a meeting place for artists and journalists, but also for many locals. Founded in 1899, this is a restaurant that hasn't succumbed to the neighborhood's modern fever, retaining a traditional atmosphere in a room with white walls and high azulejo baseboards. The menu includes all the typical fish and meat dishes, such as grilled sea bream, tuna steak and secretos de porco. Portions are so generous that there's not always room for the excellent desserts.

Ce restaurant est bien situé en centre-ville, dans le Bairro Alto. Le serveur est très sympathique et parle très bien le français. Beaucoup d’humour et les plats sont expliqués en français ce qui simplifie le choix. C’était l’anniversaire de mon conjoint et le dessert a été servi avec une bougie ce qui était sympathique. Le repas était de qualité et typique. Morue, poisson…

Très bon restaurant ; nous y avons mangé un midi de fin octobre, ce n'était pas le foule, accueil cordial par un serveur qui parlait français, morue excellente, épaisse et bien dessalée , beignets de morue très bons, lapin également ; les plats sont copieux et plutôt abordables mais les vins au verre et le porto sont un peu chers (de bonne qualité toutefois)

Restaurant traditionnel situé vraiment au centre-ville et facile à trouver.
C’était vraiment bien, pas cher et le serveur parlait plusieurs langues.
