The name of this restaurant, as Velhas, "the old women" in Portuguese, is a tribute to the two women who used to cook here. The restaurant has been open since 1925! On the walls, paintings and statues of other elderly people (famous or not). Under the auspices of the yellow-beamed ceiling, there's no doubt that the dishes here are prepared with care: cataplana de peixe, bacalhau no forno à minhota and rojões à transmontana and then a few gourmet notes to end on a high note. A must for all gourmets.

Restaurant typiquement portugais. Menu très varié et copieux. Le service est nickel avec les 2 serveurs attentionnés, dans 1 français impeccable. La patronne nous remerciant et prenant la peine de venir nous dire au revoir. A recommander absolument.

Ce petit restaurant indiqué par l’hôtel nous a ravis. Serveur attentionné qui parle français, ambiance cosy, cuisine locale de qualité. Une bonne adresse à Lisbonne

Ambiance chaleureuse avec un personnel au petit soin , faisant l'effort de parler français devant notre incapacité à nous exprimer en portugais. Très bon conseil , repas délicieux et typiquement portugais.
