Near Praça dos Touros, this fine family-run restaurant specializing in regional Portuguese cuisine is worth its weight in gold! Since 1985, the "Perchoir", as it's known, has been serving traditional rustic dishes such asalheira (meat and bread sausage), rice with eel, cod with lagareira, or kid chops... Beautifully presented dishes and flavors of yesteryear. An excellent Lisbon restaurant not to be missed. But be prepared to wait a little while for your meal, sipping a glass of good wine.
