Often installed on the food court of Portuguese shopping centres, these franchised soup shops are a great success. Considered in Portugal as fundamental for health, they are enjoyed in all seasons and even when you don't need them anymore to grow up! To be served with fresh salads or small golden filled slippers(empanadinhas), the menu of the big cauldrons changes daily: sopa de hortaliça (vegetable soup), sopa de pedra (pink coconut beans, chorizo, bacon...), sopa alentejana... For small budgets !

La loja das Sopas propose des menus pas chers et très bons. Pour 5,90€ nous avions choisi le menu avec une petite soupe, une salade composée avec du thon (très bien garnie) et une boisson au choix. Il y a 5 ou 6 soupes au choix chaque jour, ça permet de goûter quelques spécialités portugaises comme le caldo verde ou la sopa das pedras.
