A truly popular brasserie, built in 1836 on the ruins of a former 13th-century convent: two beautiful, long vaulted rooms covered with magnificent, brightly-colored antique azulejo panels of Masonic inspiration and more recent works by Portuguese artist Maria Keil, a garden and the remains of a cloister. This cervejaria (now very touristy!) serves fairly classic Portuguese cuisine: fresh meats, fish and seafood. The main attraction is the spectacular setting.
