This is a real gem, amazing location, the interior and exterior is beautiful, staff were excellent especially Henry at reception. Breakfast include something for everyone could even have bucksfizz and was available until midday! Tea coffee and cake was available all day too, just help yourself. The beautiful terrace had peacocks coming in and visiting quite a novelty, definitely recommend.

Perché en haut de Alfama, en plein centre du château « castelo », un paradis de calme. Chambres spacieuses, bonne literie. Personnel avenant et souriant.

Historische Unterkunft.
Schmale Gassen der Altstadt als Wegstrecke und die Lage am Castel muss man mögen.
Wir waren begeistert. Ambiente des Hotels und freundliches Personal haben uns begeistert.

Tout était parfait et le lieu un havre de paix ! Personnel adorable et grandement serviable ! Merci pour les 3 petits déjeuners en chambre : apparemment service peu demandé et non proposé mais réalisé malgré tout suite à notre demande avec beaucoup de gentillesse, de ponctualité et plateau très copieux !

Absolutely brilliant service.
The location is steep although a bus service is available nearby (737) till 9pm.
The rooms are decent but the service is top standard.

Relativ kleines Hotel in einem historischen Gebäude, innen wunderschön und gemütlich eingerichtet
Sehr schöner Innenhof.Freunliches Personal, alles sehr sauber.Phantastisches Frühstück zu einem lächerlichen Aufpreis.Durchgehend kostenlose Snacks, Kaffee und Sekt.Große Zimmer mit Marmorbad, sehr schön ausgestattet und absolut sauber.
Einziges Manko ist die Lage auf der Spitze des Hügels.Man ist zwar in 10 Minuten im Zentrum, aber der steile Aufstieg ist doch etwas beschwerlich.

Mooi hotel! Schoon en vriendelijk personeel. Lekker eten en overal is aan gedacht. Goede service. Locatie is centraal gelegen en er is in de buurt erg veel te beleven. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

I was not entitled to the small car, but from the airport, taxi brought us to the hotel through streets (?) becoming narrow. Impressive.The exterior of the hotel makes move back for lack of maintenance of the upholstery façade, but as soon as the door opens (yes, it is necessary to sound to enter!), it is unvéritable delight. Everything is perfect, comfortable room, buffet breakfast complete and renewed permanently, available until midday! Coffee, tea and pastries at will throughout the day and evening. Small museum in the tank of the former kitchen of the castle. In short, a real pleasure. A little far from the city, but that allows you to go!Some good restaurants in the surrounding area.
