Behind a discreet, unmarked façade lies a little Art Deco marvel, designed belatedly by Portuguese architect Cassiano Branco in 1944. Beautiful, sober and original all at once, the hotel with its portholes evokes a pre-war ocean liner that has been enhanced by modern comforts. The rooms have original cork floors and the marble bathrooms are embellished with Molton Brown cosmetics. Buffet breakfast until noon. A bottle of old port awaits you on the coffee table as a traditional welcome.

The Hotel Britania is located in Lisbon's historic center, on a quiet street just off the cosmopolitan Avenida da Liberdade. As the only hotel intact to this day,it's a testament to the glamour of the 1940s. It comprises 33 spacious rooms that blend tradition and modernity . The rooms aredivided into two categories: Twin and Txin Prenium. What's more,they're equipped with everything you need to guarantee your comfort: air conditioning, safe, satellite TV and much more. To getyour day off to agood start, the hotel serves a buffet breakfast every morning. During your stay, you'll have access to a video library, a library and a garage. A great address for a cosy stay!
