THE EDITORY RIVERSIDE SANTA APOLÓNIA HOTEL
Beautiful hotel with restaurant, in the Santa Apolonia station building, offering spacious, soundproofed rooms.
It is since the installation of this hotel in the building of the station of Santa Apolonia that this last one changed color to adopt a flaming red. Here is a beautiful 5-star hotel whose decoration constantly reminds us that it is close to a station. The rooms are spacious but still cosy and are well soundproofed. On the first floor, a restaurant whose chef is none other than André Silva, who has already worked in an establishment with a Michelin star.

Our room was very dirty when we checked in: bed linens had stains, mirrors and shower were dirty also, dust and hair were found on bedside tables.
We asked to change the room and they did it without problems. The new room was more less clean, but with some really surprising things: dirty glasses and some brown stains in the bathroom.
So, if it’s really important for you to have the clean room, try to avoid this hotel.
Die Bahnhof Optik ist sehr gelungen
Zimmer sind modern, und trotz der Hauptstraße gut schallisoliert.
Im 2.OG Riverview hat man jeden Morgen einen super Sonnenaufgang
The hotel is well equipped with a large lobby, a fully functional gym with state of the art equipment, and a dedicated restaurant. The only thing missing is literally a swimming pool.
Location wise, whilst the hotel is technically in Santa Apolonia, it sits on the borders of Alfama, and the walk to Baixa Chiado is only 20-25 minutes through the streets of Alfama. There is also the metro just next to the hotel.
However the food really is not upto the high standards set elsewhere; infact it’s pretty dreadful, low quality and overpriced. Would recommend to stay and enjoy the ambiance of the hotel but steer clear of the dining.
