The concept for this hotel is quite sophisticated: a meeting of Portuguese and Japanese culture. There are 41 rooms, plus a hotel within a hotel (the Mateus Hotel) occupying the top two floors. On the first floor, the Bica San restaurant is a great success, offering flavors from other parts of the world.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are premium feeling in a minimalist way, true to the Japanese design inspiration.
Breakfast is very well thought out, and dinner menus were eclectic and unique in the area.
If you're traveling in groups of 2 or 3, the value is unbeatable - loved the views from room 107!
Will definitely stay here again!
