INDEPENDENTE LISBOA - BICA
A blend of Portuguese and Japanese culture, with 41 rooms and a magnificent restaurant on the first floor
The Independente's little brother, opposite the São Pedro de Alcântara miradouro, is located on the lively São Paulo street. At the heart of Lisbon's nightlife. The concept for this hotel is quite sophisticated: a meeting of Portuguese and Japanese culture. There are 41 rooms, plus a hotel within a hotel (the Mateus Hotel) occupying the top two floors. On the first floor, the Bica San restaurant is a great success, offering flavors from other parts of the world.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are premium feeling in a minimalist way, true to the Japanese design inspiration.
Breakfast is very well thought out, and dinner menus were eclectic and unique in the area.
If you're traveling in groups of 2 or 3, the value is unbeatable - loved the views from room 107!
Will definitely stay here again!
