Well located between the Jardim Botânico and the Parque Eduardo VII, the popular Hotel Altis, with its slightly cold atmosphere, offers cosy rooms and all the services of its rank as well as the high technologies involved in its five stars (a little overrated). Bonus: a buffet and two good restaurants with a beautiful panoramic view of the city, on the top floor, a conference centre, very popular. Next door are the elegant executive suites of the Altis Suites and the apartments of the Altis Prime Hotel, which complete the group's offer.

The Altis Grand Hotel is a chic, trendy hotel in good proximity to many of the sights of Lisbon. I found the service to be extremely good, but the rooms themselves could use a bit more care.
In my room, I did not have a laundry paper, or bag. When I asked, the staff directed me to search through my dresser drawers, rather than to give me a new one. After another search, the paper & bag was not in the room, as I had suspected.
Other than this, some colleagues had different complaints that were worse, but I will not post on their behalf.
Aside from these issues, I found the food and bars in the restaurant to be top notch. And as I mentioned, service was excellent.
A review of Lisbon is out of scope for this review, but I want to add that some working knowledge of the good places to go vs. the bad is quite necessary, as there are some illegal activities going on openly in town.
