This popular little bar in Bairro Alto is famous for its fado concerts. The room is very small, and you'll certainly find it a little cramped. The singers generally sit in a small corner to sing. Really, it's a far cry from the formality of Lisbon's big fado stages, but the music sounds good, the ginja is good and admission is free. So as not to interrupt the musicians, you only get in and out during the breaks. So don't worry if you find the doors closed, you'll get in at the next interval.
