Church of Santa Engrácia of baroque style, with a magnificent terrace with view, built on an octagonal plan.
Begun in 1682, the church of Santa Engrácia, which was only truly completed in 1966, was inaugurated on that date as a national pantheon. With its dome rising above the Alfama and its white and pink marble lace interior, the octagonal baroque construction is dedicated to the "glorious dead" with the tombs of famous personalities, including Luís de Camões or Vasco de Gama. After the 181 steps to the terrace, enjoy the view.
