IGREJA DA CONCEIÇÃO VELHA
Church of Manueline style with a beautiful entrance porch with a façade classified as a national monument.
Those who do not have time to go to Belém can at least admire the charming entrance porch of this church, completed in 1520, one of the most beautiful and captivating examples of Manueline art, the only remains of the church destroyed by the 1755 earthquake. This facade has been classified as a national monument since 1910. The original church was the second Manueline style temple in the city. Take the time to admire all the finely carved details.
