The Jardin d'Outremer, also known as the Jardin Musée Tropical, was created at the beginning of the last century on the grounds of the Palais de Belém, where it occupies seven hectares planted with extremely rare exotic African and Asian species. A must-see for the breathtaking palm alley, the Japanese garden, the tropical essences from the former colonies and the marvellous terrace at the top. Don't forget the small butterfly greenhouse, where insects flutter around you. A peaceful place in the middle of Príncipe Real where it's good to spend a few hours.
