Former residence in Lisbon, housing the most important collection of decorative arts in Portugal.

Its founder António Medeiros e Almeida (1895-1986) was a major businessman but also a major patron. Gathered in its former residence, the collection presents in 25 rooms (an apartment with all its rooms, lounges and even a chapel): paintings, ceramics, sculptures, Chinese porcelains, furniture, jewellery, jewellery, jewellery, tapestries, watches... What beautiful things! We confirm that it is one of the most important decorative arts collections in Portugal.

Open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Closed on January 1, Good Friday, May 1, December 24 and 25. Normal admission €5, concessions €3 and free for under-18s.

Originality

C'est un petit musée visiblement peu connu, étant donné la faible affluence. On peut y voir une collection privée présentée in situ dans les pièces de l'hôtel particulier du propriétaire. J'ai surtout été impressionnée par la collection d'éventails de toutes les époques et par la table dressée pour la réception du Prince Rainier et de la Princesse Grace.
