WATCHTOWER DO MONTE AGUDO
Mount Agulhas island, intimate and secret, with a relaxed terrace, featuring a small walkway with a wooded park.
With its small pedestrian promenade and wooded park, this Mont Aigu lookout, next to the Penha França lookout, is relatively unknown to tourists and even locals alike, as it's so well hidden! Dating from the 1950s, this intimate, even secretive island of greenery includes a refreshment and magazine kiosk with a relaxed terrace, and opens up interesting views of the north and west of the city, with the Cristo Rei (statue of Christ the King) in the distance. As at other miradouros in Lisbon, a pretty azulejo panel depicts the unforgettable panorama.
