Accessible from the top of the course, it's a real bargain for those who have decided to take the Lavra funicular. From the top, access is via the Campo dos Mártires da Pátria. It's a lovely little one-hectare park, with a children's playground and an attractive kiosk. It offers superb views over the Avenida da Liberdade, the Baixa Pombalina and the Botanical Gardens. If you go to the left, you can also see the bridge. Note that this is a garden where dogs are allowed to roam free.
