Run by Renato, this surf school in Ericeira (1h from Lisbon) offers lessons for all levels, in small groups (6 people max). Located next to the campsite, the school also rents out bikes, paddles and bodyboards (if surfing doesn't appeal to you) and scooters for exploring the surrounding area. You pay for the first hour of lessons and then have the option of buying packs of lessons at sliding-scale prices. Good reputation in the area for both friendly staff and quality equipment.
