Sintra, one of Portugal's most beautiful tourist destinations, is easily accessible from Lisbon by train. There are two regular, inexpensive rail services to Sintra. The first departs from Rossio station, located in Lisbon's historic center, and is close to the popular tourist districts of Baixa, Alfama and Bairro Alto. The journey takes around 40 minutes. The second service departs from Oriente station, Lisbon's main intercity station. This journey takes around 47 minutes and is often used by visitors arriving at the airport or Sete Rios bus station. Trains to Sintra are part of Lisbon's urban rail network and are operated by Comboios de Portugal (CP). Trains depart every hour and services continue late into the night.

Opening time and information on GARE FERROVIAIRE

From 6am to 1am (of 5:20 to 0:46 in the other direction), frequent connections, approximately every 30 minutes (€2.20 for a one-way ticket) or a train per hour Sunday. Function with rate zapping of the card viva viagem (€1.90). At 45 minutes starting from the station of Rossio or Directs (Lisbon).

Gare pratique et accessible

La gare de Sintra est situé à 10/15 minutes du palais national de Sintra. On y accède facilement depuis Lisbonne via plusieurs gares (Oriente, Rossio ou Entrecampos). Il y a des trains fréquemment. A la sortie de la gare, on trouve aussi le bus et des agences de location de véhicules pour visiter Sintra.
