Former black powder factory in Sintra, offering nice walks to discover a green valley.

This charming place allows you to discover a green valley, where charming walks have been laid out. This former black powder factory has been nicely restored and gives an interesting insight into the evolution of industrial techniques since the 16th century: water mill, steam mill, then generators. The walk in the city reminds us of 18th century Portugal if we forget the few tall buildings that invade the horizon!
