MUSEUM OF WORK MICHEL GIACOMETTI
Michel Giacometti has designed an unusual museum dedicated to preserving and promoting the heritage of the world of work.
High above the city, we come across this unusual museum dedicated to the preservation and promotion of heritage linked to the world of work. Inaugurated in 1987, the museum is housed in the former Perienes fish canning factory. Michel Giacometti, a lover of Portugal and French ethnographer of Corsican origin, has devoted much of his life to the study of Portuguese folk traditions, particularly in the fields of music and agricultural practices.
