POUSADA CASTELO PALMELA * * * *
Pousada at 230 m above sea level, which offers differently decorated rooms.
A castle taken from the Moors in the 12th century, transformed into a convent, then rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake and finally turned into a historic pousada, often hosting weddings and celebrations. Situated 230 metres above sea level, it offers breathtaking views of the Serra de Arrábida. Each room is decorated differently, in a very cosy atmosphere with tartan bedspreads and quilted headboards. It makes you want to snuggle up in winter... There's also a restaurant serving local cuisine.
