Wine estate with palace and cellar/museum, offering tours and wine tasting.
It is the headquarters of the Bacalhôa winery, which has vineyards and cellars throughout Portugal. This 15th century palace, combining Moorish and Renaissance architectural elements, is famous for its Moroccan-inspired towers, polychrome azulejos, gardens and, above all, its wine to taste. I hear you can see the first azulejo in Portugal! You can choose to visit the palace alone or the palace + cellar/museum, with a wine tasting at the end of each visit.
