DDAY MÉMORIAL GARDEN
Commemorative garden in honour of British veterans, free and open to all on the heights of Arromanches
This memorial, created from a sketch by Princess Kate, with the help of the Royal Horticultural Society, was installed for the 75th anniversary of D-Day. The statues, made of steel discs, face the artificial harbour and give a cloudy, misty impression of fading memory. An unmissable place of remembrance and reflection in a finely crafted natural setting. A fine tribute to the veterans of the Second World War, overlooking the town and offering a splendid view of the bay.
