Museum of Veterans in Arromanches to pay tribute to the grandfather of Floris Kok.
Once upon a time, there was a 12-year-old Flemish boy, Floris Kok, who preferred the D-Day landing beaches to Disneyland... 3,000 letters and 10 years of research and meetings later, in 2012, the boy who had grown up opened his veterans’ museum in Arromanches. To pay tribute to his grandfather, a member of the Dutch resistance during the Second World War, to his great-grandfather, a soldier in the trenches in 14-18. Behind each souvenir is a man and his story.

The militaria in this museum was given by veterans of the Normandy campaign.
The front of the museum is a militaria shop.
I visit this museum every time I visit Arromanches. This is without doubt one of my favourite museums in Normandy .
Little shop selling antiques as well.
Would definitely recommend!
Va être restauré le 1er novembre 2022.
Visite bien expliquée en français et en anglais.
