PRESIDENTIAL PALACE MUSEUM
Located in the former property of the late President Habyarimana, who led the country from 1994 to 1973, the museum contains surprising remains: worn armchairs to the rope, table resting on two feet of elephant, prayer room, multiple bathrooms, room where ministers were lecturing themselves… But also furniture from President Bizimungu, who elected home from 1994 to 2000. It smells like the inward and the soapweed. The highlight of the visit undoubtedly remains the wreck of the presidential plane, which crashed in the garden almost under the eyes of the family. A motor here, a wing a little further, almost the raw art. A promontory makes it possible to photograph everything. In the aisles of the garden, close to the empty swimming pool and a former aquarium, young married people get photographed. Surprising frame for tourtereaux…

La visite avec guide coûte 5000 francs rwandais (visite en anglais, français ou kinyarwanda). La maison est très impressionnante avec une ambiance particulière... Les guides sont sympathiques et accessibles aux questions.
