A convent founded in 1472 by Lopo de Almeida, Comte d'Abrantes, it was transformed into a hospital, then into a military district, and finally in a municipal library. Its beautiful cloister on two floors, dating from the beginning of the th century, is a Renaissance and Mannerist style.
