ÓBIDOS MUSEUM
Museum exhibiting a surrealist diptych, three small paintings of the school of Josefa de Ayala, some weapons and lapidary pieces.
In the first rooms, among a number of 16th-century Portuguese paintings, a surrealist diptych is on display. Two striking representations of martyrs to capture the popular imagination. In the lower room, three remarkable small paintings from the school of Josefa de Ayala, known as Josefa de Óbidos, stand out for their pictorial qualities. A crucifixion in shades of ochre, brown and green. Finally, in the last rooms, a number of lapidary pieces and weapons, souvenirs of the Napoleonic wars.
