PARQUE DOM CARLOS I
Shady park in Caldas da Rainha including a lake, tennis courts, sculptures, statues and the José Malhoa Museum.
This shady park, originally attached to the hospital, was used as a place for curists to take a walk. It was remodeled in 1889 and became the meeting point for the inhabitants of the city and the curists coming from all over Europe. Today it is a small green lung. In addition to the lake where you can take a boat ride, there are tennis courts and the José Malhoa Museum. There are also sculptures, especially the official statues erected during the "New State" and ceramics, mainly works by Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro.
