SÉ (CATHEDRAL) OF GUARDA
Granite fortress of Gothic origin, with Romanesque, Manueline and Renaissance elements, whose terrace offers a view of Guarda.
This massive granite fortress in the crenellated towers is of Gothic descent. Construction began in 1390 and works last more than 150 years. This is why the building also includes Romanesque, manuélins and Renaissance elements. The pinnacles and flying are reminiscent of the monastery of Batalha: normal, both monuments clash with the same architect! Don't forget to go to the terrace of the cathedral where the view on Guarda is very beautiful.
