GUARDA MUSEUM
Museum in the old episcopal palace with sections dedicated to archaeological findings, painting and sculpture.
Housed in the austere building of the former 17th-century bishop's palace, several sections of the Guarda museum are devoted to archaeological finds, painting and sculpture from the 16th to the 19th century. The 16th centuryAnnunciation Altar by the Coimbra Renaissance school deserves special attention. Temporary exhibitions of longer duration are regularly offered. Visit also the International Campus of Contemporary Sculptures (Av. Alexandre Herculano) in the open air, free and fast.
