Monastery with a bookshop full of books, handicrafts, and monastic products.

Mother Scholastica revolutionised the way the monastery functioned by opening wide the doors of the community to the outside world. The hotel sisters welcome you with a smile in the imposing building, founded in 1648. There is no curfew, no obligation to attend Mass, and as a bonus: a bookstore full of books and a shop selling top-quality monastic crafts and products (Trappist beers, delicatessen, organic cosmetics, jams, chocolates...).

Tous les hotes du monastère prennent leur repas ensemble, autour d'une même grande table. Quand on vient de Paris où l'on est habitué aux gens qui se regardent en chiens de faïence dans les transports en commun, on pousse un soupir de soulagement ! On est en terre fraternelle, tous se parlent, rient, sourient... On est de retour à la normale quoi !
C'est un endroit qui mérite respect et participation, par hommage pour les soeurs fort sympathiques qui le gèrent !
