Feeling peckish on the peninsula? If we had to recommend a table in this area, we'd invite you to push open the door of Chez Bertine (a contraction of Gilbert and Martine, Laura's parents). Bertine is a modern restaurant in the heart of Caen, offering buckwheat-based dishes. Here, you can opt for a lunchtime menu including starter, main course and sweet crêpe. Try the Normandy tomme dips, buckwheat maki, buckwheat tartine ...Sweet treats such as cookies, strawberry tartar and ice cream are served for dessert. As for crêpes, you can choose from plain, sweet, chocolate and salted butter caramel.
