A little on the margins of the theatres we used to attend, the company of the Black Butterfly has been installed since 1991 and its 300 m2 of workspace welcomes you, whether for performances but also for workshops, courses… Originally, a director, Charli Venturini, for whom the work of the body is fundamental, through its commitment, its dynamism, its rhythmic rhythm. The body must be an embodiment of the verb and for that, it must be constantly explored. But beyond that, the Black Butterfly is also a cultural action (professional artist training, work with schools, in prison…) of artistic creation in connection with the issues of societies that care about them (gender equality, foreign gaze, fight against homophobia…) as well as a place of reception, whether for rehearsals, local associations or representations.
