A unifying moment, from the most athletic to the most casual walker, the Marathon de la Liberté is a festival of races for all, with a national FFA label. This annual international event takes place in June and celebrated its 36th edition in 2023. 40,000 participants and almost 60,000 spectators make this sporting event a reference in Caen, but not only, since some competitions, such as the Marathon de la Liberté, the flagship event, take runners as far as the D-Day beaches (Juno, Sword, Pegasus Bridge...).
