The Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC) of Basse-Normandie is responsible for conducting the cultural policy of the State in its geographical area. It intervenes in particular in the following areas: knowledge, protection, conservation and enhancement of heritage, promotion of architecture, support for artistic creation and dissemination, development of books and reading, artistic and cultural education and the transmission of knowledge, promotion of cultural diversity and the expansion of public knowledge, development of the economy of culture and cultural industries, promotion of French and French languages.
