ST. NICHOLAS' CHURCH
The building is closely related to the Abbaye aux Hommes. Indeed, in the late eleventh century, the monks of the Abbey, who depended on two parishes, Saint-Martin and Saint-Etienne-le-Vieux, decided to build this church, in which they could find their independence . The monument is one of the few to have survived the centuries, without experiencing profound changes. It is thus almost the same as it was at the time of its creation. As such, it is a testimony speaking of Romanesque religious architecture of Normandy.
