OUR LADY OF THE GLORIETTE CHURCH
century church with beautiful architecture and furniture, which hosts the choir of the Maîtrise de Caen every Saturday.
Previously Sainte-Catherine-des-Arts, built by the Jesuits at the end of the 17th century, this church became Notre-Dame after the suppression of the Jesuit order in 1802. In addition to its architectural quality (the façade is reminiscent of the Roman church of Gesù) and its magnificent furnishings, we love "la Gloriette", as it is called here, for its place in the culture of Caen, since it welcomes the choir of the Maîtrise de Caen every Saturday.
