MEMORIAL VALLEY
Valley surrounded by three gardens: American, Canadian and British, as well as two symbolic and special trees.
You've heard of the Memorial, of course, but have you ever strolled through the surrounding gardens? The first was planted in 1988 by the then President of the State of Israel, while the second, a ginkgo biloba (the only species to survive Hiroshima), was planted in 1997 by the fifteenth Dalai Lama. The three gardens - American, Canadian and British - commemorate D-Day. They are also fabulous botanical and entomological reserves of local flora!
