COLLEVILLE-MONTGOMERY SWAMP
A 60-hectare marsh between Colleville and Ouistreham, home to typical freshwater flora and fauna.
Straddling between Colleville and Ouistreham, this 60 ha wetland is full of typical freshwater fauna and flora. The two communes have joined forces to enhance the value of this little-known site, hidden by the bocage network. This small basin was once an arm of the river Orne which emptied into the sea. As you pass through the reedbed, let yourself be lulled by the light rustle of the Phragmites (reeds) which mask a quantity of passerines and other aquatic birds.
