Museum in Colleville-sur-Mer, offering a new anecdote and piece of history that Pierre-Louis has unearthed

Admittedly, it’s not as big and modern as the other well-known museums in the area, but for us, it’s THE museum to visit. We love coming back in search of a new anecdote, a little piece of history that Pierre-Louis has unearthed. This indefatigable enthusiast fell in love at first sight with the Big Red One (1st US Infantry Division) - one of the first to set foot on Omaha Beach on the morning of June 6, 1944 - during a school trip to the United States. This romance gave birth to the Big Red One Museum in 2004, 20 years ago!

Small but nice. You'll find some pieces, you'll see nowhere else. The owner is a great guy and he'll give you great explanations.
