VIZHINJAM HARBOUR
A fishing village with a large church and 2 mosques overlooking the sea, one large and one small, to be seen early in the morning
This fishing village has a large green and white mosque and a smaller yellow and white one overlooking the sea, as well as a large church, Our Lady of Good Voyage, with its Christ the Redeemer evoking Rio de Janeiro. It is even more enchanting in the early morning, when the fishermen leave on their colorful boats. Continuing south, you come to a small 18th century temple carved in the rock, dedicated to Shiva and Parvati. Further south you will find beautiful beaches but not very suitable for swimming.
