A small, colourful temple dedicated to Shiva nestling on a cliff overlooking Adimlathura beach, with a beautiful view of the surrounding area
Perched on the cliff overlooking the beach of Adimalathura, this small and colorful temple is a pleasant visit. It offers a magnificent view of the surroundings. An imposing and beautiful statue of Shiva, nearly 18 meters high, was inaugurated there in late 2018. The Hindu god is represented seated, a cobra around his neck and hair in the wind. He has four arms, holding in one hand the goddess Ganga, in another his famous trident planted on the ground, and a percussion in another. This sculpture was designed by a local artist.
