Observatory with top-of-the-range 30 cm, 40 cm and 63 cm telescopes for tours lasting around 2 hours.

Designed and run by a French astronomer, Eric, with a Chilean colleague, this observatory is located close to the Gemini and Tololo scientific observatories. Top-of-the-range 30 cm, 40 cm and 63 cm telescopes for optimal observation. Tours last around 2 hours, starting at 6.30pm in winter and 9pm in summer. More specialized programs for amateur astronomers. We appreciate the information given by Eric, who uses simple words that everyone can understand. The price is higher than elsewhere, but the quality of observation is there.

Visit in November 2010 observatory. 4 Months of retreat and visit another observatory, our first impression is confirmed and developed.
Eric, director of the observatory, is a senior professional coupled with an enthusiast who live and shares his passion. With the permanent listening its audience and know to explain the complexity of the universe with simple and understood words, it embodies the ideal professor who would have loved to have: availability, listening, full control of the subject, explanations and observations with the support.
Moreover, it controls French, Spanish and English. what makes it very welcoming group composed members from very varied geographical horizons.
In addition, small groups: 4 to 12 people. What a pleasure!
The observatory has adequate facilities and a telescope good quality which allows the, in turn, our natural satellite, planets, stellar heaps, curiosities of the universe, remote galaxies. On request, Eric points the telescope on such or such part of the universe to back - up its explanations and meet the expectations of its audience.
The site offers 320 days of observation a year.
In a few words: one evening exceptional engraved in our memory and we would renew faultless during a future. For example, in our guest group was his third fee.
