TRINITY CHURCH
Church built in 840 where several parts of the monument had to be rebuilt again during the 15th and 16th centuries.
First built in 840, this church was destroyed and rebuilt in 1204. Besieged by the English in 1417, several parts of the monument had to be rebuilt again during the 15th and 16th centuries, such as the Renaissance chevet, with its passage under the arch, the chestnut vault and the historiated capitals. The gargoyles, the carved figures on the right aisle, and more generally the richness of the building’s decor illustrate Falaise’s prosperity at the time.
