We really wanted to like this place, however, it gets 1 star because we stayed here over the new year, our package included bath ropes, we use only one once during our 3 nights stay on the second night because they didn’t replace our towels. The next day the rope was replaced and the room was cleaned and nothing was mentioned to us, so it was quite surprising to find out after checking out, we got a $172 fee for “stolen” bath rope that was left on the bathroom floor with the rest of the towels. Absolutely disgusting, this should’ve been discussed with us in person especially bc the rope was used in the second night.
These are problems we wouldn't have if you train your employees better or if we have stayed at a chain hotel.
Visiting from the US, stayed for 4 nights. Hotel staff went above and beyond: carried our luggage without asking, microwaved and served our leftovers on plates just like we lived there, offered us coffee, etc. Just the most friendly and helpful staff. Rooms and lobby were 5-star, the most beautiful and clean. Super comfortable bed and room. Really enjoyed the variety of treats in the entryway lobby every time we came back.
# Cleanness wise, the room can def be cleaned better all over. It's dusty here and there, and the bed sheet and blanket are visibly yellowish in color
# Here comes the major reason why I gave only one star. We got charged for "taking" the bath rope.
We used one of the two bath ropes on the 2nd day of our stay, and then put it together with the used towels so that it's easier for the cleaner.
Then we got another clean bath rope after the room clean service on the same date and did not touch those 2 bath ropes ever since then.
So when we left, there were actually "2" clean and dry bath rope just like how we checked in.
Based on this, I'm very confused why I got charged for taking the bath rope. Like do I have to tell the hotel how many towels and bath ropes I use per day, and how many are cleaned and replaced by the cleaner?
I feel sorry for only giving one star, but these three points just covered all its other pros of this hotel.
